The museum (Antikenmuseum im Schnoor) exhibits the collection of the Zimmermann Foundation and many masterpieces exemplifying the Greek art of vase making, creating a very special collection of painted Attic vases.While virtually no paintings from ancient Greece have survived, the wine and oil jars that have been found are decorated with paintings of an exceptional artistic quality and they give a fascinating insight into classical Greek culture.
