The painter Albert André (1869-1954) founded the first museum (musée Albert André) on modern and contemporary art in the region. The collection shows works by figurative and post-impressionnist painters, a.o. Bonnard, Marquet, Matisse, Renoir, Signac, Valadon, Van Dongen.
