Petit Palais Museum

The museum (Musée du petit palaispresents a collection of Italian and Provencal paintings from the late 13th to the early 16th centuries, and a collection of Romanesque and Gothic Avignon sculptures. There are over 300 primitive Italian paintings from the Campana Collection. This set of paintings  is essential to understanding artistic creation in Italy during the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. All the major Italian schools are identified and defined in time. The other major part of the Museum concerns Avignon sculpture from the 12th to the 15th century
