Castle De Mayenne

The Castle De Mayenne (Château de Mayenne) is a unique Carolingian monument from the beginning of the tenth century. The castle served as palace, fortress and prison. The castle belongs to one of the best conserved Carolingian secular buildings in Europe. The Museum organizes exhibitions on medieval themes and artifacts.
