Vendreuve Castle

The Orangery of the castle (Chateau de Vendreuve) shows a miniature furniture collection from the 16th century to 1930 that includes more than seven hundred miniature furniture and thousands of small objects. The dimensions of this miniature furniture are fascinating. The diversity of shapes, the multiplicity of the material (wood, wax, earthenware, paper, leather, bronze, pottery) and the variety of mechanisms are amazing. Exotic paintings, lacquer furniture and artefacts of the China of the East India Company illustrate the French taste for oriental products. The writing room reveals  a collection of small models in lacquer of china realized by Ferdinand Ferone. The garden of the castle is famous as well.
