Museum of German Early Romanticism

The museum (Romantikerhaus) was once the residential building of the philosopher Johann Gottlieb Fichte and shows the historic-cultural and intellectual background of a young generation of poets, literary critics, philosophers and natural scientists, making Jena the most progressive intellectual centre of Germany between 1785 and 1803 and birthplace Early Romanticism in Germany.
