Museum of Art History

The museum Landesmuseum fùr Kunst und Kulturgeschichte presents history of art from the Middle Ages until the period after the Second World War. The Gothic hall (1430) exhibits medieval sculpture, paintings, altar pieces and many other precious artefacts. The art of the Renaissance is showed in the west wing of the castle (1530), followed by Baroque, Rococo, classicism and modern art. Jugendstil, German expressionism and the time after the war continue in chronological order. The sculptures in the park are also accessible.
