Joan of Arc Historical Exhibition

The memory of Joan of Arc is engraved in various heritage sites and urban spaces in Rouen. The Dungeon where she was threatened with torture, the cemetery of the Abbey Church of Saint-Ouen which was the site of her abjuration, the Place du Vieux-Marché, and the Archbishop’s Palace where part of her trial took place. The exhibition (Historial Jeanne d’Arc) in the Palace shows this history in the context of the Hundred Years War and houses the remains of the room known as l’Officialité, the “Official Room”, where her sentence was pronounced in 1431, and where her rehabilitation trial took place in 1456.
