The castle (le Château d’Annecy), residence of the Counts of Geneva until 1394, underwent numerous transformations during the 15th and 16th centuries. Nowadays, the castle houses a museum, displaying temporary and permanent exhibitions in the fully restored rooms of the castle. The collection include objects related to the regional heritage, architecture, painting and modern and contemporary art.
