Carlsberg Glypotek

The museum houses the largest collection of ancient art in Northern Europe, primarily sculpture, from Egypt, the Near East, Greece and Italy. But during the more than one hundred years of its existence, the museum has also expanded the collection of French and Danish art from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The Impressionists, Paul Gauguin and Auguste Rodin are particularly well represented. The unique surroundings with the Winter Garden, the Larsen Building for the Collection of French painting and the Café each create a beautiful frame for the enjoyment of art and culture of a high standard. The Glyptotek houses over 10.000 works of art.
