The Augustiner Museum brings together masterpieces from eight centuries of art. Highlights are the original sculptures from the Freiburg Cathedral, silverware and tapestries from monasteries, paintings by Hans Baldung Grien, Matthias Grünewald and Lucas Cranach the Elder, as well as works by famous painters from Baden, as Anselm Feuerbach, Franz Xaver Winterhalter and Hans Thoma. Since March 2010 the completely redesigned nave is open again. On two floors there are medieval and Baroque sculptures, and stained glass.
