The Bührle Collection is among the most famous collections of modern art. The 180 pictures and sculptures, assembled under the aegis of a foundation, give a panoramic overview of modern art from about 1870. Two years ago, however, when thieves made off with a major work by each of Cézanne, Degas, Monet and van Gogh, only two works have since re-surfaced. The Kunsthaus in Zürich, Switzerland shows in its entirety. for the first time in over five decades, the Bührle Collection. The collection comprises masterpieces of French Impressionism by such luminaries as Manet, Cézanne, Monet and van Gogh and stretches all the way to Picasso.
