Groninger Museum

The Museum of Art and Art History in Groningen is devoted to painting, design, photography, fashion, installations, applied art and archaeology. The visual and applied arts before and after 1950 are being represented by the most famous artists. Archaeology concentrates on apostle heads, rings, coins, brooches, helmets, sticks with rune inscriptions and other artefacts found in the region. The collection includes works of Warhol, Kiefer, Koons, Polke, Kirchner, Breitner, Weissenbruch, Gauguin, Van Gogh, Israels and Dutch, Flemish and Italian masters from the Renaissance and the seventeenth century.
